ACK!, the Dinopuppet
I love these pictures of Joshua and Matthew playing with ACK! (as Joshua named it). ACK! - the amazing dinopuppet created by my friend, Karla Fitch, the Itsy Bitsy Spider (http://www.etsy.com/shop/theitsybitsyspider). We love Karla and her creativity!
Celebrating July 4th
It's safe to say July 4th is going to be a favorite holiday and parade of Joshua's. For the second year now, Joshua has shown no fear of fire engines...rather, he joins in with a "WWWWRRRR" and a "CUCK!" translated "truck!". Red firetrucks, red cars, big tractors, a kazoo band, and his own wheels - a Radio Flyer Red Wagon - He had the time of his life at the parade.
The court square was blocked off with more activities, including a little train ride (dressed up tractor). Of course, Joshua and I took a ride and had a great time. More, More, More.
That night, we all went to a grassy spot to watch the fireworks. Again, not sure how Joshua would react, we shouldn't have been too surprised when he sat on the edge of our laps, pointed at the sky, and went "BOOM, BOOM!" through the entire show. Yep, he is an All-American boy.
Train Obsession
Joshua discovered Thomas and Friends about a month ago. We knew he enjoyed the show and books, but it's so much more. After dinner at the Jennings', Ms. Lana pulled out a Thomas track set. Joshua's obsession was fully revealed.
I feel very fortunate (and even blessed) to have found a recent listing on Craigslist of a wooden track set that a son had outgrown. With a quick drive up to Reidland (an hour away), Joshua became the owner of his own track, with some really cool Thomas pieces. He's been at it ever since.
That's all for now. Gotta rebuild the track.
